Absentee Voting Information – Valley City Public Schools

To vote absentee, you must complete and submit an Absentee Ballot Application. (Absentee Ballot Application)

NOTE: At any time in an election year, any qualified elector in the district may apply to the school business manager for an absent voter's ballot in an upcoming election (NDCC 16.1-07-05).

Completed applications must be returned to the Business Manager of the Valley City Public School District using one of the following methods:

By Mail:

In Person:
Applications may be dropped off at the District Administrative Building, located at 460 Central Ave N, Valley City, during regular business hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Secure Dropbox:
A 24-hour secure voting dropbox is available outside the District Administrative Building for your convenience.

NOTE: The school will not begin distributing absentee ballots to the public until May 1, 2025, 40 days before the school election.

Upon receiving your absentee ballot, please follow all the instructions in the mailing.

Absentee ballots must be returned by 5:00 PM on the day before the election (June 9, 2025).
If mailed, ballots must be postmarked no later than 5:00 PM on June 9, 2025, to be counted.
